Neurosurgery is carried out on patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and their coverings (meninges and bones) which can be treated by surgical procedures. It covers a vast area, ranging from brain tumours to herniated discs.

The Neurosurgery Department is organised to be able to respond to needs 7 days out of 7, 24 hours out of 24, whatever the degree of emergency or complexity of the pathology in question.

The department provides for the following three types of interventions:
